Village George V – 75008
Posté le 25 January 2017 by Bruno

The George V Village in the 8th arrondissement is a visually breathtaking, luxurious neighborhood where every day is an adventure. Neighbored by the immensely popular street, Champs Elysees, crowned by the magnificent Parisian memorial Arc de Triomph, the atmosphere of this bustling street carries over to the Avenue George V, except it is noticeably more calm and less touristy; it has the perfect level of activity so as not to distract from its many Parisian charms or luxurious ambience. Taking in the avenue’s unique personality on a relaxing stroll is a fun activity in and of itself. Name a world-renowned luxury brand, and chances are you will see one of their stores on the street. Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Armani, Rolex and Hermes are some examples of how charismatic the area is to top brands. The area’s personality welcomes luxury, but rather than luxury stores being the main attraction, they fit naturally into the neighborhood’s other interesting features. One thing that you will notice on George V is the spectacular, unrivaled Four Seasons Hotel located in the center of the “golden triangle”, which is made up of Avenue George V along with Champs Elysees and Avenue Montaigne, featuring the finest luxury retail in all of Paris, as well as guaranteeing a fun stroll for passerby, with its uniquely fun and carefree atmosphere sprinkled with some luxury. There is some history in the area as well, as on Avenue Montaigne, Christian Dior set up his first shop for the exceptional fashion label in 1946. Dior still uses the same original address of this first shop (30 Avenue Montaigne) for their headquarters to this day. Additionally on Avenue Montaigne, there is a famed classical music theater. Known as le Theatre des Champs-Elysees and built in 1913 to provide a quality venue for the new era of contemporary music, dance and opera, it is beautifully designed and holds concerts for prestigious musical groups and orchestras, serving as the home for two: the Orchestre National de France and Orchestre Lamoreux.
