The George V Village in the 8^th arrondissement is a visually breathtaking, luxurious neighborhood where every day is an adventure. The area’s personality welcomes luxury, but rather than luxury stores being the main attraction, they fit naturally into the neighborhood’s other interesting features. There is some history in the area as well, as on Avenue Montaigne, Christian Dior set up his first shop for the exceptional fashion label in 1946. Dior still uses the same original address of this first shop (30 Avenue Montaigne) for their headquarters to this day. Additionally on Avenue Montaigne, there is a famed classical music theater. Known as le Theatre des Champs-Elysees and built in 1913 to provide a quality venue for the new era of contemporary music, dance and opera, it is beautifully designed and holds concerts for prestigious musical groups and orchestras, serving as the home for two: the Orchestre National de France and Orchestre Lamoreux.
